What is this experiment about?
A target shape is shown at a fixed angle. Tap the rotate buttons to turn your own copy until it matches exactly, then check your answer.
Questions kids ask
- Why use an unusual flag shape instead of a plain square?
- A square looks the same after every 90-degree turn, so you'd never be able to tell it had rotated — the flag shape looks different at every angle.
- What is 'mental rotation'?
- It's the skill of imagining how a shape would look if you turned it, without actually turning it — this game lets you check your prediction by rotating for real.
- Does the direction I rotate matter?
- No — turning left or right just changes how many taps it takes. Three rights and one left can land in the same place.
