Reaction Time Test
Tap the instant it turns green.
What is this experiment about?
Wait for the screen to turn green, then tap as fast as you possibly can. We'll measure your reaction time down to the millisecond.
Questions kids ask
- What is a good reaction time?
- Most people react in about 200–300 milliseconds. Anything under 250ms is quite fast!
- Why do we react at different speeds?
- Reaction time depends on how quickly your eyes send a signal to your brain, and your brain sends a signal to your hand.
- Can you get faster with practice?
- A little — staying focused and relaxed helps, but reaction time is mostly limited by biology.
